Classified Solutions Design, Integration & Accreditation

Classified solutions designed, integrated, implemented and accredited end to end, using the right mix of GOTS and COTS technology.

Overview

Classified capability, from design to accreditation.

Fielding a classified capability means bringing government off-the-shelf (GOTS) and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technology together into a system that serves the mission and passes accreditation. CDT designs the solution, integrates and implements it, and carries it through assessment and authorization, so you have one accountable team from requirements to an operational, accredited system.

What's included

Capabilities

01

Solution design

Architectures that meet mission and classified security requirements, with the right GOTS and COTS components selected for each.

02

GOTS & COTS integration

Government and commercial components, including NSA-approved encryption and cross-domain solutions, integrated and tested as one system.

03

Implementation

Installation, configuration and hardening on site, with the security documentation produced as we build.

04

Accreditation

Control implementation, assessment support and authorization packages, from initial ATO through re-accreditation.

How we work

A proven, repeatable process.

  1. 1

    Requirements

We work with your teams to define mission, performance and compliance requirements up front.

  2. 2

    Architecture

A secure architecture designed around your framework: STIGs, RMF controls or your own standards.

  3. 3

    Build & harden

Systems are built, configured and hardened in advance, with documentation produced as we go.

  4. 4

    Validate

We test the system against its requirements before it goes live, so there are no surprises at inspection.

  5. 5

    Operate & sustain

DevSecOps operations and maintenance keep the system patched, compliant and ready.

FAQ

Common questions

Something else on your mind? Ask an engineer.

What is the difference between GOTS and COTS?

GOTS (government off-the-shelf) products are developed for or owned by the government, such as NSA-approved encryption devices. COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) products are commercially available hardware and software. Most classified solutions combine both, and CDT selects and integrates each to meet the mission and the security requirements.

Do you stay involved through accreditation?

Yes. The team that designs and builds the solution also implements the controls, prepares the authorization package and supports you through assessment, so nothing is lost between engineering and accreditation.
