Privacy Policy

How Cyber Defense Technologies collects, uses and protects information on this website.

Cyber Defense Technologies ("CDT", "we") is committed to the privacy of everyone who visits cyberdefensetechnologies.us (the "Site"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how you can reach us about it. It applies only to information collected on this Site, not to information shared with CDT offline or on third-party sites such as social media.

Information you give us

We collect personal information only when you choose to provide it, for example when you request a consultation, report a security incident, complete our CMMC readiness self-check, download a guide, sign up for our newsletter or apply for a job. That can include your name, organization, email address, phone number, the details in your message and your answers to the self-check. Job applications also include your resume and the other details you give us. Providing it is voluntary.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers keep basic technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of each request. We use them to operate and secure the Site. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies; the Site uses only the cookies it needs to work, such as a session cookie that protects our forms. We keep our own visitor statistics on our servers, without advertising or tracking cookies. For each visit they record the pages viewed, the website that referred you, your type of device and browser, your approximate location (city, region and country) worked out from your IP address, and the IP address itself. We use them to understand how the Site is used and to protect it. IP addresses are deleted after 90 days; the remaining statistics don’t identify you and are kept for up to 26 months.

When you send us a form, we also note how you found the Site during that visit: the first page you visited, the website that referred you, and any campaign name included in the link. Our newsletter emails record whether they were opened and which links were clicked, so we can improve them; your email program may block this.

How we use information

  • To respond to your requests and inquiries, including incident-response requests;

  • To provide our products and services and run our business;

  • To evaluate job applications, and to contact applicants about future openings if they agree;

  • To send our newsletter to people who have confirmed they want it (every issue includes a link to unsubscribe);

  • To prepare proposals and bids for customers;

  • To protect CDT, our people and our partners against security threats, fraud and other unlawful activity; and

  • To comply with legal requirements.

Sharing

CDT does not sell, lease, rent or license personal information. We share it only when needed: with service providers that help us operate (who must keep it confidential), with a prime contractor when we deliver services as a subcontractor, when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and property of CDT, our customers and others.

Security

We use reasonable technical, physical and administrative safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit. Files uploaded to the Site, such as resumes, are scanned for viruses. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If personal information we hold about you is compromised, we will notify you promptly.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it, and then delete it. Job applications and resumes are deleted two years after we receive them. Requests and inquiries that don’t lead to work together are deleted three years after our last contact. Newsletter sign-ups that are never confirmed, and addresses that unsubscribe, are deleted after one month. Information about customers we work with is kept for as long as the business relationship and our legal obligations require. Deleted information may remain in our backups for a short time, until those backups expire.

Where information is stored

CDT is based in the United States and so are its systems. Information you provide through the Site is processed in the United States.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Last updated September 29, 2026.
